I’ve met and forged both business and personal relationships with some really amazing people through Twitter.  I’ve discovered new friends, experts on topics I’m interested in, new and potential clients and made so many other connections. For that, Twitter is really an invaluable resource, don’t you agree?  I was thrilled and honored to see today that I’ve been included on Natalie Sisson’s Womanz World as One of the Top 20 Women to Follow on Twitter. Pretty cool, right?

Thanks Natalie! You can find Natalie on Twitter at @WomanzWorld.  It’s an honor to be in such good company and I hope you’ll take a few minutes to check out the list to see who else Natalie recommends. I know I will.

What an absolutely wonderful weekend we had! Friday was my 40th birthday, and we had all kinds of festivities planned for the weekend. I flew in my dad from Paris, hired a fabulous event planner to create something truly magical for me and my 35 close friends and family that came into Connecticut from around the country and abroad. I also hired a professional photographer to capture each and every moment of the celebration (including the surprise finale at my home that no one expected) and I’ll post some pictures on Facebook and Twitter this coming week, so you can feel like you were with us too. 😉

But mostly, I was really excited to be turning 40, so much so that I couldn’t sleep Thursday night. I know that it doesn’t seem like a milestone MOST people use the word “excited” about, but I have my own personal philosophy about life. Whereby some others are afraid of growing “older”, I feel that perhaps it’s because they haven’t necessarily CONSCIOUSLY created the life they wanted yet. One of the things I’ve been very deliberate about is crafting a life that I love, right down to what I do for a living, the kinds of clients I have, my income, my family, where I live, where I work, and what I do in my personal time. I’ve made up my mind that I don’t wake up in the morning to be mediocre, and that I want to live life like I mean it. And so everything I’ve set my mind to so far, I’ve taken a no-excuses approach to achieve, and the best is yet to come.

Sometimes, the signs that it’s time to invest in taking your business to go to the next BIG level show up without notice. Take this past summer, for example. The second call of my Preview Teleseminar Series for my workshop was scheduled and I was set to interview two inspiring and motivating solopreneurs on how they use the Client Attraction systems daily to make well into the 6-figures. We had close to a thousand entrepreneurs registered for the call and I was excited to host it.

Then, the unthinkable happened. As instructed, hundreds of people starting showing up 10 minutes early to make sure they would make it onto the line before it was maxed out. As I was greeting them, I kept asking if my two featured guests were on the line. My heart kept sinking further and further into my stomach as I realized neither of them could actually get on the line as moderators.
