UNDERvaluing What You Offer? You May Be Losing Clients and Money

Years ago, there was a question in my intake packet for new clients titled, “What is holding you back or slowing your progress?” , as it related to attracting all the clients they needed and having a full practice. Having worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients over the years, I’ve seen it all. Other than “no knowledge of marketing,” one thing seems to come up over and over again, and it happened again recently, with a brand new client.

The client answered this: “Sometimes, the ‘Little Voice’ inside me asks, ‘Who needs my program anyway? This is basic information that I offer. People already know this stuff!’” This is so common, but in most every case, this is absolutely not accurate.

I have to admit, in the past, I too have taken for granted what I already know and teach everyday and started questioning my value in the marketplace. For example, when I was teaching holistic nutrition years ago, I sometimes wondered why people were paying me (or WOULD pay me) to teach them about whole foods versus processed foods. To me, it was a no-brainer that brown rice was more healthful than white. But to a person who grew up on Twinkies, it was crucial that I explain it to them in detail, and then the shortcuts to fitting in those brand new foods into their busy life. …CONTINUE READING =>

If you want something to be different, look at your opportunities differently. It’s there right in front of you, plain as day, if you choose to look at it and take action on it.”

One Secret To Dramatically Increase Referrals (and Get More Clients)

To dramatically increase referrals, it’s important to educate the people you consider personal advocates (those who know you, like you, trust you, love you, and want the best for you), and let them know what you’re up to and who your best clients are.

If you’re just starting out, it’s a letter of introduction; if you’ve been in practice several months or years, write an “update letter” on how your practice has grown or new services that you provide.

The fact is, most people who are your personal advocates will be happy to help (people LOVE to give referrals and to help a friend in business, especially when the person is a trusted friend). Just poured myself a big glass of wine…

Wow, I can’t believe it.

My call tonight was truly amazing.

If you were there, you know how much info I shared about the Mindset of 6-figure and 7-figure entrepreneurs. Really powerful content. You also got to here me get real, so RAW, about my past… stuff I’ve never shared publicly before and what most people would never even think of admitting.

Get Past Procrastination: My 5 Steps to Getting It ALL Done

Have you ever looked at your to-do list and just wanted to run away? Sometimes, procrastination gets the best of us self-employed people. It seems that everything is priority and we tend to put some things on the back burner. The thing is, if the items on your to-do list have to do with marketing and Client Attraction, then you don’t want to ignore them (if you do, your pipeline of prospects will be empty in 6 months, or less).

Procrastination creeps its ugly head in my business every now and then. Personally, I think it’s more overwhelm than procrastination and the list can be so overwhelming that I tend to go into avoidance/denial mode, preferring to just not deal with it.
