I just love Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero’s List of the 50 Coolest Marketers of 2010 and I’m also honored to be among them!
Lorrie included me for “teaching the softer way of getting clients.” For me, that’s what it’s all about. How do you market using a “softer approach?” You pull your clients toward you rather than chase them down.
Pulling clients in is not only more fun than pushing hard to “get” clients, it’s MUCH easier. Who wouldn’t rather have clients call them instead of pounding the pavement? The concept is a no-brainer to grasp, but very few solo-entrepreneurs actually do anything about becoming more client attractive.
How about you? What marketing strategies are you using to pull clients toward you? Are you offering tremendous value? Are you positioning yourself as THE expert with THE solution to your client’s problems? What is your compelling and authentic marketing message? I want to know!
A big thank you to Lorrie for including me in your post!
Have you ever looked at your to-do list and just wanted to run away? Sometimes, procrastination gets the best of us self-employed people. It seems that everything is priority and we tend to put some things on the back burner. The thing is, if the items on your to-do list have to do with marketing and Client Attraction, then you don’t want to ignore them (if you do, your pipeline of prospects will be empty in 6 months, or less). I’m so grateful and thrilled to share with you that Enterprising Women magazine has recognized me with an Honorable Mention for their Enterprising Women of the Year Award!
I’m told there was an unprecedented number of nominees from around the world for the 2011 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, which recognize the top women entrepreneurs in North America. I’m honored to be included among an absolutely amazing and inspiring group of women. Winners were chosen based on demonstration that they have a fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and are stand out leaders in their communities.
What a great way to start off the new year!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I’m spending a couple of weeks hosting family and friends and spending so much time with the kids. For Christmas, we hosted family for our traditional Swedish Smorgasbord (think traditional Swedish mulled wine Glögg and endless courses eaten by a roaring fire.) Then, our friends started arriving for the New Year celebration. We were about 12 adults for New Year’s and it was a blast. You have to live life like you mean it, so once again we rolled up the carpet in the great room around midnight and moved furniture for some late night dancing! It was so much fun! Hope you had great time tonight too…
Hey, amidst all the parties, I just want to make sure you take some time this weekend to really map out what you want to create for yourself this coming year (this article will show you how). I’m carving out about a couple of hours on Sunday to do the same. It’s going to be a great year ahead!
